Heartwarming Burns Night raises £8,000 for Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter

The Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter celebrated a remarkable achievement at their inaugural Burns Night Supper on Thursday 25th January 2024. Held at the Vertu Arena on Scotswood Road, Newcastle Upon Tyne, the event saw over 150 attendees and successfully raised over £8,000.

Forever Home Friday: In Loving Memory of Timmy, Our Beloved Senior Cat 🐾🐱

Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter pays tribute to Timmy, a 17-year-old black cat whose courageous journey from recovery to adoption epitomised the spirit of #ForeverHomeFriday. Timmy, who faced the challenges of hyperthyroidism and a significant surgical procedure, passed away in February 2024. Yet his legacy endures, inspiring the community to embrace the adoption of senior pets.

Physical goods donation station reopens, but more cash contributions needed.

The Newcastle Dog & Cat Shelter is pleased to announce the reopening of its physical goods donation station at Benton North Farm daily from 11am to 4pm.
